My name is Yetta Jensen Bogarde, the owner of J-J Translations. I was born and raised in Denmark, but lived for more than 25 years abroad studying and/or working in London, Berlin, New York, Nuuk and Paris.
The home language in my international family has always been English.
My educational background as an English teacher and a Paralegal in Danish Corporate Law, Legal English and Business Law prepared me well for working as an English language coach at the Chamber of Commerce in Paris as well as working in the corporate world for such as Mærsk Oil & Gas, Legal Dept. and Novo Nordisk A/S, Drug Development Dept.
And it all has proved to be an excellent foundation for translation work.
J-J Translations offers language services in the language pair of Danish and English (both American and British English). I love my work and the opportunity to apply my cross-cultural insights and good internet research skills. I take pride in delivering a product of the highest quality at a reasonable price using the newest translation technology (CAT) tools. I can offer to create individual terminology databases (TMs) for my clients, when relevant. If the client already has developed a wordlist with their own specific technical terms I respect those and incorporate them into my translations.
For the sake of my international clients, working hours are very flexible, mostly I’ll be available by e-mail weekdays from 9 am to 9 pm and weekends from 2 pm to 9 pm CET.
